The Villain: My Story

From the shadowed corners of a small town, Andrew McDonald—known to the world as Andy Jones—emerged as an artistic misfit, a misunderstood aura that whispered secrets of rebellion and depth within a quiet community. Exiled from the familiar, he fled the confines of Fox Creek, AB, seeking refuge in the chaos of creation and the allure of the arts. It was in 2005, at the Victoria School of Visual and Performing Arts, that he found his true calling—fueling a relentless passion that would carve his destiny in the fashion world. Since that pivotal year, Andrew has prowled the industry’s dark corridors, honing his craft and transforming into a force to be reckoned with. By 2007, his mastery was honed at MC College, elevating his design skills to a level of haunting perfection. The years that followed saw him seeking knowledge beyond aesthetics—studying business at George Brown College in Toronto from 2010 to 2012, and thriving within the Y.E.S business incubator, launching his first daring fashion venture into the abyss. A fixture in Toronto’s underground fashion scene, he has been a vital part of Fashion Art Toronto since 2012, eventually stepping into the shadows of alumni after 2021. From 2020 to 2024, he returned to his roots as a fashion educator at MC College—a full circle moment that grounded him in his purpose amid the chaos. Now, in 2026 and beyond, Andrew stands on the precipice of his greatest evolution. His latest obsession—"Villain The Label"—a dark, sophisticated collection that embodies over two decades of growth, struggle, and transformation. This is not merely fashion; it’s a visceral exploration of his own darkness, a fearless confrontation with limitations, a visceral act of rebellion. Through it, he crafts wearable forms of art—haunting, powerful, unapologetic—showcasing his relentless pursuit of pushing boundaries and embracing the shadows that define him.
